![]() ![]() How that could affect things are beyond me, but perhaps it is playing a part in this whole problem. Activating VSync gives me input lag, which is really terrible, so I´m trying to see if I can do anything else. This page at Nesdev indicates that it's one of two Vs. Oddly enough, Nestopia release notes from 2006 list it as fixed: - Mapper 99, PRG-ROM bank switching. Compatibility Review Prefect Computer SpecsOperating System Windows 10 Home X64CPU Intel Xeon E5 1650 3.20GHZGPU NVIDIA Quadro K2000 2GB Ram 24GB Software Us. Oh! One other factor that might be relevant: I run FCEUX from my DropBox. Unless youre a sub 5 runner, I wouldnt worry about running at 60fps flat. This issue dates back a long ways, I think - I know I've read about it before. Once upon a time, Super Mario just simply started like the rest of the roms I have when I pressed "start." On other emulators there is no issue with starting Super Mario Bros. Other than that delay, everything runs fine afterwards, and I have no issue with pausing the game afterwards. In that time, FCEUX has been in active development, while NEStopia has largely been idle. If I reset the game over and over again, the game will start when I press the "start" button, but there is a slight delay between my pressing the button and the game starting. In my reply I made some bold claims and pretty much said 'zomg NEStopia is the greatest thing ever omgomgomg', but I realized that opinion came largely from the state of the emulators 7 years ago. In version 1.50 or higher, its baked into the core. How strange, huh?Īs far as the Game Genie codes running some kind of interference, this "start" button problem happened before I started playing around with Game Genie codes and afterwards, so it is not the built-in Game Genie messing with the game/emulator. Prior to Nestopia UE 1.50, it required the NstDatabase.xml file for general proper emulation. Super Mario Bros is the ONLY game that this problem occurs on. I am using an usb adapter to connect a NES controller in, BUT when I disconnect the controller and adapter and use the keyboard, the "start" button problem remains. Is this the Windows version of FCEUX? Are you using a keyboard or some kind of gamepad? Is it only Super Mario Bros where you observe the problem? Could the Game Genie codes be affecting it?It is indeed a Windows version of FCEUX. You're going to have to give more details than that. vanfanel 23 November 2020 11:30 1 Hi there, Having both FCEUmm and Nestopia running on some ARM systems that can’t cope with MESEN, I was wondering: what’s the current status of FCEUmm and Nestopia (MESEN is of course fantastic but it’s outside most portable ARM system’s hold). ![]()
